Early Saturday morning on March 5th the residents and friends of Nocatee joined together to run for a very important cause, The American Lung Association. The Nocatee Trail Blazer Run offered a 5k run and also a 1 mile fun run/walk for families and beginners. Not only were the participants able to run for a cause, but they were able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery that Nocatee has to offer. The 5K run/walk took place on the roads and bike trails in the Nocatee Community. The course took the runners and walkers along Crosswater Parkway and Nocatee` s Preservation Trail. They were able to enjoy the beautiful wildlife, and nature preserves that surrounds the master planned community of Nocatee.
Many many participants showed up and were able to raise money for a great cause, The American Lung Association. As family member and friends cheered on the runners and walkers, awards were handed out to the top three men and women overall and to the top master male and female finisher. It was a beautiful run and day to enjoy with the residents of Nocatee!
