Teaching the Youth the Essentials and Skills for Saving Lives

by Admin 24. March 2011 05:56

The master planned community, Nocatee offered American Red Cross Lifeguarding classes to the young teens in the Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra area. After the successful completion of the three week course, the students are then certified to work at the Nocatee water park, Splash. The course covers the essentials and skills for young teens to be certified in lifeguarding, first aid, professional rescuer CPR and AED for lifeguard. Nocatee wanted to give this tremendous opportunity for the youth to learn, grow, and to acquire skills they will use for the rest of their lives. The required age for the course was at least 15 years of age, and was offered for an affordable fee.

Nocatee is well known for providing activities and events for children of all ages. From planned events to leisure activities, Nocatee provides it. Events that have been crowd pleasers consist of ones such as a Live Eco-nomically lecture series that brought in reptiles and amphibians that were on display for the families to see or  popcorn night at Friday Night Flicks. Nocatee is surrounded by wildlife preserves, hiking trails, and bike paths; activities your entire family and friends will enjoy.  Plan a Saturday or Sunday visiting the Ponte Vedra community, Nocatee.
