On Tuesday evening, Nocatee adults gathered to celebrate Fat Tuesday with a Mardi Gras Party in the festively decorated Crosswater Hall. The celebratory evening included a performance from the United States Navy Band's "TGIF" Band. The high energy eight-piece band had everyone on their feet as they entertained with an exciting mix of New Orleans and Dixieland style music. Residents not only enjoyed the live-music while they mingled, they also enjoyed $1 beer and wine along with an assortment of snacks that included the traditional Mardi Gras King Cake. To cap off the evening residents competed to design the “Best Homemade Mardi Gras Style Mask.”
