After becoming an official Nocatee resident, Mary Grace LaMendola didn’t waste any time adapting to her new home. The resort-like amenities, small town feel and outsanding community events... it was love at first sight.

Mary Grace's coastal-cottage home in Enclave at Town Center, built by David Weekley Homes, includes a preserve view - one she appreciates after a long day of working at her computer, and when outside on her back patio. “My patio is my favorite part of my new home. I love serving meals, reading books and listening to music – all while basking in the Florida sunshine” she shares. The relaxing and tropical atmosphere of the community's featured amenity, Splash Water Park, is another community perk which Northerners like herself are excited to enjoy year-round. Mary Grace is proud to tell friends about her community's commitment to "smart growth," and the other benefits of living in a master-planned community.

Nocatee’s plentiful green-space and miles of trails (both paved, and unpaved) are additional features that she knew were unique to Nocatee. “Since visiting the Nocatee Dog Park, I look forward to the idea of regularly walking my dog Zoe up to the Nocatee Community Park, as a part of our new regular routine.” Living in one of the several Nocatee Town Center neighborhoods, Mary Grace also enjoys her neighborhood’s walkable, urban-feel.

“I take advantage of living within walking distance, and walk over for my Publix groceries, and the occasional frozen yogurt. Not only do I save gas money and enjoy the convenience of not having to get in the car, but I also feel healthier – I’ve lost about 5 pounds,” she boasts.

One of her favorite things to share with fellow empty nesters are the monthly community events and activities that cater to all age groups, including the family and adult-friendly functions. "I attended the Roscolusa Songwriters Festival at Nocatee last summer as a community guest, and cannot wait to attend again this year," she says with a smile. Now as a resident, she is looking forward to grilling-out with family and friends at home before walking over to all of the fun events and activities within Nocatee.

“I love my Nocatee mobile app - I use it all the time to see what’s happening in the community. With this app and the resident exclusive online forum, I can keep track of my Nocatee social calendar - the Coastal Pickleball group, an upcoming drive-in movie, this month’s farmers markets... it all helps me o stay in the loop and make sure I never miss out on an event!”

To Mary Grace, her move to Nocatee offered more than just a new home. "I feel like I'm living on vacation year-round, one where I can walk over to the quaint Town Center for groceries, take a ten minute car ride to the beach and avoid the hassles of rush-hour traffic," says Mary Grace.  “I’m really living the dream!”
