Over eighty Nocatee residents and their guests commemorated the first swim of the New Year with the 5th Annual Nocatee Polar Plunge on Saturday, January 11th. Everyone celebrated a morning of Polar-Plunge themed festivities that included, contests, a community plunge countdown, group swim, hot chocolate/coffee, breakfast from Cravingsz Mobile Kitchen Food Truck, professional DJ, and more inside Nocatee’s Splash Water Park!
To kick off the 8 a.m. festivities, Nocatee’s Resident Services Staff recognized and awarded the “Most Unique” swimsuit costume winner before leading everyone in the countdown to the community plunge. The fun continued as residents not only enjoyed the family lagoon pool after plunging, but also took advantage of the Rip Tide Water Slide – North FL’s highest water-slide tower. As many of the adults mingled and enjoyed hot drinks & breakfast, many of Nocatee’s youngest residents continued to swim and dance to the high-energy family fun music. The warm weather, “uniquely Florida” Polar Plunge came to an end around 10:30 a.m., and left everyone excited for the opportunity to take the plunge again next January.
