A new year is the time to not only think about your goals and plans for the next 12 months, but also how you can help change the lives of those in your community.

 

A study by the Corporation for National and Community Service concluded:

  • Those who volunteer experience greater health benefits than those who receive support from the volunteers

  • Volunteering fosters positive relationships and reduces stress

  • States where residents volunteer more often are likely to have lower mortality rates and less incidence of heart disease.

Nocatee ends 2014 with record sales, sold-out neighborhoods, new communities, amenities

Nocatee is wrapping up its best year yet, thanks to several sold-out communities and the addition of over half a dozen more. In 2014, Nocatee also expanded and enhanced amenities for residents, while the Nocatee Town Center gained significant traction by welcoming big-name retailers including Wendy’s and UPS.

November Community Highlights Include New Town Center Retail and Nocatee Art Show & Auction

New and established Nocatee residents desiring artwork for empty walls and barren spaces in their homes were in luck this November! The Art Show and Auction Social on November 12th featured a variety of fabulous pieces donated by local mixed-media artists. Event proceeds went directly to K9s for Warriors, a deserving non-profit that will soon join the Nocatee community.

Art Show and Auction Social to Benefit K9s for Warriors

New or established Nocatee residents, are you still searching for the perfect piece of art to satisfy an empty wall in your new home? You're in luck, because this month’s Nocatee Adult Social will feature an Art Show and Auction. 

From 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on November 12th, the Art Show and Auction Social will take place in Crosswater Hall's breathtaking Nocatee Room. Come peruse a variety of one-of-a-kind pieces for sale by mixed-media artists. Art lovers might recognize some of the local artists in attendance; Matthew Winghart, Gary Mack, Dick Brown, Mobarick Abdullah, Olivia Cobb, Linda Olsen, Peggy Ingram and Ann Oliver.

First Coast News rallies support for new K9s for Warriors at Nocatee facility

Nationally renowned and locally based K9s for Warriors is making more headlines.

This time, Jacksonville's First Coast News is launching a new community project called "Operation Orion" in an effort to raise awareness and funds to operate the future Nocatee facility (will accomodate four times as many veterans and reduce the current year-long waiting list of heroes seeking help).

K9s for Warriors Coming to Nocatee!

The nationally renowned K9s for Warriors program will soon be able to aid even more veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injuries.

The Davis Family and The PARC Group have joined forces with Summit Contracting Group, Inc. to donate both the land and construction of a new training facility, where veterans from around the country can come to be paired with service dogs that will assist them in making the transition back into civilian life.
