One glance at Pinterest or any home magazine and you’ll see that the obsession with the nature isn’t going anywhere, even in home decor. From end tables made of stumps to beams made of trees, the trend of bringing the outside in is more popular than ever. That’s because countless studies have shown that nature has numerous benefits for the mind and body.

If you’re considering a new home, you may want to think about the features being offered outside as well as in. Some communities incorporate nature through an extensive trail system and other outdoor amenities. Contact with nature has been reported to have psychological benefits, including reduced stress, enhanced focus and productivity, mental restoration, improvement of ADHD and increased longevity. There really is no replacement for Mother Nature.

New York Times Report: St. Johns Healthiest County in Florida

The New York Times Quality of Life Study (June 2014) ranked St. Johns County as the highest in Florida.

Out of the 3,135 counties in the United States, St. Johns County came in at the top 4 percent nationwide with its 113th ranking. The study looked at various quality of life indicators, including education, median household income, unemployment rate, life expectancy  and obesity.

Lenders Give First-time Homebuyers an Extra Boost

According to the Zillow Mortgage Access Index (ZMAI), borrowers have a significantly easier time getting approved for a mortgage today than they did even a year ago. Zillow also found that access to home loans is nearly two-thirds of where it was before the housing bubble burst.
