Baptist Health recently purchased close to an acre in the Nocatee Town Center for a family practice office.

The new office, which will be off Crosswater Parkway in St. Johns County, will provide primary care for both adults and children. Construction is planned to start in late summer with the office opening in early 2015.

The purchase of the .86-acre site is part of Baptist Health’s continuing effort to increase access to quality health care. Baptist’s investment in the land and building will exceed $1 million.

“Our intent is for this new location to provide the growing Nocatee community with another close connection to the comprehensive care available within the Baptist Health system,” said Edward Sim, Baptist Health’s president of physician integration.See why Angela calls Nocatee home

The site of the future Baptist Primary Care office in Nocatee is located less than 10 miles from Baptist Medical Center South, which opened in 2005 to serve families in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties.

“We are excited to have Baptist Primary Care in our Nocatee Town Center,” said Rick Ray, president of The PARC Group, the developer for Nocatee. “Nocatee residents will be very pleased to have quality health care options right in their own community.”
