Nocatee residents & guests enjoyed a special “Health & Safety Fair” themed Farmers Market with a helicopter, boat, fire truck, vintage police car and more on February 16th.
Families gathered on the Farmers Market Field for health & safety fun that included a United States Customs and Border Protection helicopter, a United States Coast Guard boat, a St. Johns County fire truck and vintage police car, some great live-entertainment, train rides and inflatable slides.
Kids loved the opportunity to get an up-close view and sit inside all of the impressive and unique vehicles. As everyone mingled at the various booths and attractions, the Atlantic Coast Dance Studio put on a crowd pleasing performance directly in front of the Nocatee’s featured amenity, Splash Water Park. Also at Splash Water Park were representatives from over a dozen health and a safety agencies that were on hand to provide demonstrations and answer any questions for both parents and children.
As always, everyone enjoyed sampling the wide variety of delights that included organic produce, baked goods, pre-prepared dinners, hand-crafted jewelry, artwork, herbs/spices, honeys, pottery, and plants & flowers that the 70+ local vendors bring each month. The markets are held the third Saturday of each month, always free and open to the public.
The Nocatee TV Station was on hand to capture footage for the ‘NocateePonteVedra’ YouTube channel and the community TV channel. Tune in to see event highlights & resident testimonials. Visit the Nocatee Welcome Center or contact 1-800-NOCATEE for more information on upcoming community events.
